JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Shining Diamond’s Demonic Heartbreak
Morioh hums under the August cicadas, the same sleepy coastal town that already forgot it almost died last summer. The Arrow is gone. Kira is ash. And a girl named Michiru Takagi is trying to ignore the fact that her pet cockatiel just spoke to her in human language — not mimicry, but a warning. "He's looking for you." The parrot, named Drip, has been acting strange for weeks. Michiru does not know about Stands. She does not know about the Bow and Arrow, or the invisible war that raged through Morioh's power lines and sewer drains. She just knows something is hunting her, and it wears the sky like a mask.
The thing hunting her is not a Stand user. It is a fragment. A leftover — a beaked, feathered, hollow-eyed predator born from the burned corpse of a hawk once owned by a florist named Yoshihiro Kira. That hawk, born in a cage, died when Josuke Higashikata shattered the killer who owned it. But its Stand, a long-range reconnaissance ability called Ebony Devil, did not disappear with its master. It fused. It festered. And now it has crawled out of the landfill where Kira's remains were incinerated, driven by a single, fractured imperative: find the one who killed its master. Josuke Higashikata.
Michiru stumbles straight into Morioh's resident high schooler with the pompadour and the power to repair anything he touches. Crazy Diamond cannot rebuild a soul, but Josuke is not the type to let a girl with a frightened parrot get eaten by a ghost on his watch. The hunt pulls them through the post-Kira landscape — into the orbit of Hol Horse, a gunslinger Stand user from another continent whose Stand, The Emperor, is a revolver that can guide its own bullets; into the lingering influence of DIO's old disciples; and into a confrontation that asks whether the evil men do ever truly dies, or just changes shape while waiting for fresh hands to feed it.
