Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito
A high school boy finally works up the nerve to confess to his crush. She turns him down, saying she already likes someone else: Asahi Suzukaze, the head of the school's bizarre "Clinical Trial Club." Heartbroken but curious, Sora joins the club to figure out who this guy is. But the second he walks in, he discovers the twist: Asahi has a crush too, on a boy who once saved her life. And that mystery prince turns out to be a mischievous version of Sora from his elementary school days, who barely remembers doing anything at all. That sets off an absurd romantic loop where everyone is crushing on someone, and the chain somehow loops back to the same clueless guy. The comedy comes from watching Sora navigate his lingering feelings for Miya while being adored by Asahi, who has no idea her hero grew up into this sarcastic mess. It's a fast-paced seinen rom-com that leans hard into misunderstandings and over-the-top reactions. The art is sharp, the facial expressions are a highlight, and the "Clinical Trial" gimmick is just weird enough to keep things unpredictable. Warning: there are occasional offhand jokes that read as casually misogynistic, so that might be a turnoff depending on your tolerance.
